Will Smith Joins Cain, Denzel Washington's Safe House Gets Sequel
Smith will make his directorial debut with the biblical epic.
Two of Hollywood's favorite leading men are hard at work on new projects. Will Smith got himself a green light from Sony Pictures for Redemption of Cain, "an epic re-telling of the Biblical sibling tale [Cain and Abel], this time with a vampiric twist" that will be the A-list actor's directorial debut.
Smith will start production on the film next summer, though it's not confirmed if he will also star. The project will shoot in London, Morocco and Jordan.
Meanwhile, Denzel Washington is rumored to be returning for a sequel to his box office hit Safe House. His co-star Ryan Reynolds is also likely to come back for the project.
Washington will next be seen as a fallen pilot in this fall's drama Flight, directed by Robert Zemeckis.
