The world was buzzing when first lady Michelle Obama debuted her new bangs back on January 17, which also just happened to be her 49th birthday and the same day she activated her Twitter account.
While she certainly had everyone talking about her look, eight months later she seems to have left those bangs behind and has opted instead for a softer sideswept 'do.
But why did she grown them out in the first place? "You know, it's hard to make speeches with hair in your face!," the first lady revealed in an interview in the current issue of Parade magazine.
